Originally from Tour, France and a resident of Pico Island in the Azores, where my family is from. My dynamic passions have taken me through the less trekked paths to a place where I have found my true purpose and fulfillment. As a teenager, my love for the complexities of construction prompted me to study architecture. However, during my senior year in high school, I discovered film and dedicated my time to learning the ins and outs of getting productions to the final edit.
Not long after starting my studies in film, I realized that film was not my sweet spot. Feeling a nudging need to find my true north away from books, I left school and became a muralist and graphic designer. My indulgence in the arts took me through a remarkable journey of self-authorship, which took me back to film school, where I graduated with honors. My passion for film and the solid foundation I gained at school saw me shoot through the ranks in the film industry to the camera department.
I gave the film industry all the passion and energy I had for it and decided to turn my focus to my first love- construction. My star in construction shone bright, and 50+ producers proposed to have me star in my own show. However, I started my podcast, which has been downloaded over 1 million times. I have compiled my journey and experiences into a novel that I will be launching in June 2022,
titled The Amabel Letters.
Outside of all that I have done, I love discovering new places, meeting people, photography, film, fine music, delicious food from all over, motorcycles, and waking up in a new city.
